Fairy Art Gallery of Fairies in Art

Background to the Fairy Art Gallery
Fairies in Art: At first I thought fairies were simply childhood stories. The two fairies I remember as a child were The Tooth Fairy and My Fairy Godmother. Then Peter Pan entered the picture and other fairies (sometimes spelled faeries or faery) were added along the way.

The rich mythology of Fairyland has deep roots. Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey both have a reference to fairies. Chaucer mentions fairies in the Canterbury Tales. This starts the written tradition of fairies art and how they entered the world through music and pictures. Today we sometimes refer to them as fairy tales.

Here is a collection of fairy artwork all available for purchase through AllPosters.com which is a very reputable seller. The prints are available framed or unframed.
